Sublime Grand Deck Marine Tourbillion

During the Baselworld 2016 event Ulysse Nardin has unveiled the spectacular Grand Deck Marin Tourbillion, in order to celebrate 20 years since the introduction of its Marine Chronometer.

The most complicated chronometer bearing the Ulysse Nardin badge boasts a unique design inspired by the deck of a ship. Its dial was created using handcrafted wood inlays, and it includes a boom that indicates retrograde minutes.

There’s also a second barrel, which features a 60-second flying tourbillion escapement located at 6 o’clock. At its core, the escapement houses the famed Ulysse Nardin anchor.

At 5 and 7 o’clock, we can observe a pair of large disks that drive the “jumping” hours. When it comes to power, the timepiece incorporates a Caliber UN-630 movement that flaunts a power reserve of 48 hours as well as 469 individual components.
